Ok here's the deal,i just bought a turbo on ebay,i read ALOT of the threads on this board about turbos, and it seems like everyone always goes off topic or people are told to use the search button, anyway i have found alot of helpfull stuff though, but i still have some questions, here goes. This is the turbo i bought

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...37823

I also don't wanna hear stuff about i payed too much or the turbo is too small, and that kinda stuff.I just need answers please.Well, what you can see on the pictures is exactly what is included,so i realize i'm far away from beeing able to mount it on my 95 240sx,so what do i need for it to work?I don't wanna run alot of boost,i was thinking about maybe 5psi to get me started,i don't think i'll need an intercooler for that do i?Anyway if someone would just tell me what i need to purchase i would greatly apretiate it.

What you need to do is look at my avatar and go to amazon.com or barnes and nobles.com and buy "The Bible"...

Maximum Boost by Corky Bell

Read it and then read it again. It appears to me you might need a good source with a lot of information...you can use this board and other sources to piece together what few things that book leaves out. Sorry, but that's the best advice I can give you. It would take too long to figure out what you know and what you don't and go into detail about all the prep and planning that goes into a custom turbo kit.

Looks like a nice turbo, I hope it wasn't painted though. From the pick it looks like the wastegate actuator and the compressor housing are the same color.

What you need to find out is what boost the wastegate actuator is set for. If its set for 8 psi, then you'll need enough fuel and probably an intercooler to use it. Unless you get a different wastegate actuator.

Let me know what you find out...

you got hosed for $300...with a t3 with .42 ar it is way to small.... it will be one big heat pump.....and will not react very well to the flow requirements of a 2.4l motor...

So what you're saying is that the turbo is useless?

Hey WDRacing. It's set to 8 psi.I understand about the intercooler, but what do you mean with more fuel?A fuel pump?

Your turbo is a bit small but i would think i would work. By fuel he means if you are going to add more air, you have to add more fuel. There are many ways to do it. You will have to get a fuel pump for starters. Then (this is what i suggest to you cause you sound new to this) you could get a Fuel management unit or rising fuel regulator (same thing) that will raise your fuel pressure with your boost pressure so you get more fuel on boost. If you have alittle more knowlegal then you could go piggy back or secondary injectors. It is all with what you know and how much you want to spend.

If your turbine has a T3 exhaust flange, then you'll need a manifold that accepts the T3. Just ask the manufacturer...

jsut to mount you'll need the manifold. your stock manifold can be like mine and sit on the floor of ur garage. you'll need a downpipe from the trubo to the exhaust a muffler shop can do that for you. although im not turbo i have learned alot about them. oil lines will be need. for an intercooler if ur stayin with low boost get one from a junkyard and get a muffler shop to do those pipes too.
