hey.

i'm rocking the SSAC and XS powah.

and im boosting 10 pounds all day long on stock internals. performs wonderfully. and it will be even better with an FPR. but don't knock it.

we also resurfaced the manifold and such.

Hopefully its not SSAC. That SSAC sh*t is the biggest waste of money....I can't belive people still buy that cheap crap. Im sure most of you have seen the pic of an SSAC Turbo basically "glued" together. Garbage.

Hey I have a ssac kit...... but not the turbo it was gigantically HUGE. I got a on-center master power turbo. It works good i've had it on since march and its still running good. (note piping was done by me not ssac )

a FPR and a SAFC and you should be good to go... personaly i wouldnt use the turbo or manifold. You can have the manifold reinforced and welds done correctly but at that point you can buy a nice cast (cast iron, or tubular) manifold.

I wouldn't trust their turbos/ wastegate. Manifold you can prep and make it last, but why go through that work??? Unless you got the tools handy.....

I have always wondered about these kits and their reliability. I think everything but the turbo would be OK to use, more people who are using XS Power and SSAC should chime in.

cheap turbos dont last. youll get shaft play and and bad turbo seals.

cheap wastegates dont last. youll get unstable boost and boost spikes.

please dont ask me how i know...

i thought ssac manis held up fine if you just braced a bit.the t2 series mani seems to hold up fine by just slotting between the runners..t3/t4 series mani requires some bracing..

im sure its no comparision to manifolds made by real quality shops, but then again, its very *cheap*

I've been running the SSAC T3/T4 topmount tubular mani for over 2 years now (about 25k+ miles) and no cracking. First time around was with a TD04H-13C (small turbo) and now with a T3/T04E + 38mm Tial gate for the last few months.

So far, no drama with the manifold. I just put a flex section in the downpipe and called it a day. No added bracing or anything like that.

I have a friend running it on his RSX with nothing but good things to say. I have to admit, I was skeptical after all the trash talk I have read, but I would buy one now. If I didn't already have Garrett...
