Hey guys just got the G35 and i got it for 21,000 with 16,000 miles. Anyways i noticed the check engine soon light came on. I ran the code and it said sumthing to do with the catalyst. SO i put the car on the lift and noticed that there is a new cat on the right side. When i drive it grinds a little in 5th gear. Im thinking its sumthing to do with the shift linkage. ANyone with any ideas? Anyways, i have bumper to bumper warranty and i want to kno is the transmission is covered under that if it is indeed grinding. Thanks for all help.

With only 16k miles, I would assume the car is only one or two years old. Since the factory warranty is 4 years / 60k miles, it should be covered. Take the car to the dealer's service department, show them what's wrong and tell them that you want it fixed under warranty.
