That's around 12 psi, but who told you you'd be blowing a motor by doing more than 12 psi? I dunno how everyone else doing 18 psi on a huge turbo doesn't blow their motors...

Without upgrades, you're running big risks passing 10 psi on a stock setup.

First, the SMIC is nowhere near efficient enough for boosting past 10 psi. Also, the stock fuel pump cannot flow enough fuel to boost high either.

The usual recommendation:Upgrade to a Front Mount Intercooler, and upgrade your fuel pump with a Walbro 255lph pump(very easy to install, only about $100).

After you have these mods, you can push the stock T25 turbo to about 14psi. Most experts have said this is the max efficiency level for the turbo and it is putting a big strain on it. (if you don't have a turbo timer, don't forget to let it idle before shutting it off) Another thing to keep in mind is that the stock 370cc injectors are also being maxed around 15 psi here.

im running 255 lph walbro fuel pump, so if i want more than 10psi i need a FMIC too?

Right, the stock SMIC doesn't have the ability to handle more boost than that. Luckily, FMIC kits are easier to come by now without losing your Arm or Leg. The cheapest I found when I was doing my swap was like $700 for my Greddy V-SPL, which is still steep, great kit too.

I think there are some on Ebay for less, but tread carefully there...

Whoa, didn't realize you don't have exhaust yet either. You'd see a big improvement with that, even without worrying about increasing boost yet.

for future refrence .75 to .8 bar is 11 to 11.5 psi you multiply the pressure in bar by atmosphiric pressure of 14.7
