Get used to it. You are going to see more of these types and wagons like the new dodge they are pumping. Car based SUVs and wagons. The industry has been moving this way for a couple years now. Functionality of SUV with more car like economy. The ford is more functional styled like the Scion. If nissan did one they could make a rugged xterra syled car based SUV.

You will also see 2 door sports SUVs - with high road handling capabilities.Historically I think Nissan tries to benchmark BMW in terms of the sportiness of its products so its entries I would imagine would be on the sports side.

Back to the ford I havent read up on it - but if it offers functionality like its name implies - it should do well. Especially if it were powerful yet more efficient than an SUV.

Nissan already has something like that in the family. The Cube, but its only on Japan; although I'm surprised it hasn't been brought to stateside yet.

i think the cube looks kinda neat, better than the flex.

but all together still gross

I stick with my coupe, and leave the flex for soccer moms, and dorks

According to the June issue of Car & Driver the Nissan Cube is coming to the U.S. in 2010.

Its about time, really. Nissan doesn't have anything to compete against cars like the Scion xB. With gas prices the way they are, people are going to start buying cars like that instead of Explorers and Tahoes...

I am retired and drive for a Toyota/Nissan dealer and you wouldn't believe the number of big SUVs that are getting traded in on smaller cars.

I know one chevy truck driver that is probably going to be needing a new non chevy brand vechile as he left his broke down chevy truck on the side of the road late Saturday in Baytown, Texas and the local cops stumbled up on it and it's $300,000 load of pot in the bed. I image his career as a drug mule is over.
