i hit a fsking deer in the dark. usually this happens on backroads but this was in the middle of the fsking highway. its really not that bad but its still fsking bullshat. it hit on the extreme left of the drivers side. it didnt roll up the hood it just went off to the side. bumper is basically fine just a couple of very small scratches, drivers side foglight is kinda broken but still works fine so thats staying like it is, hood is kinda messed, will need to be replaced. drivers turn signal is smashed, dosent work, must be replaced. drivers headlight assy is smashed, high beams work, low beam dosent, must be replaced. drivers fender is bent a little, possibly hammered out/bondo'ed. one thing that is wierd is that the rear drivers side turn signal is blinking twice as fast now that the front one is busted, is this normal since there is double the voltage going to it since it is only 1 light or somthing? can anyone please give advice for my situation this really sucks bad. ive only had my car for like a month and a half and i already ****ed it up.

dont worry about the blinker, its normal. as for the rest of the car, consider yourself really lucky, you got off very easy for hitting a deer at highway speeds. hope you get it fixed soon.

ok, so the blinker will go back to normal when i replace it? also, i am looking and they have my headlights on ebay for around 250 a pair, i dont need the pair, but oem parts usually are real expensive so i was wondering if this would be cheaper than a single headlight from the dealer? also can anyone find me a place to get a turn signal cheap? i cant find any on ebay, not sure where else to look. and i found this hood http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...74076 so i think ill go with that, i might do carbon fiber but im not sure right now. please give any other advice if you can.

Yep, I hit a deer too, along time ago, and bought the headlight assembly for $50 at the junkyard.

I just have to respond...cuz two nights ago...

The EXACT same thing happened to me. I hit a deer as well. Didn't do a ton of dammage, but still pisses me off. And I was also on the Hwy. 6 lane hwy, and I hit a deer at like midnight.

Anyway, my dammage is just to my front left fender, and it creased the hood as well. I have an appt. on Wed for the insurance company to take a look at it.

Anyway, just venting the same anger :)

I cant afford to do an insurance claim on this right now, my premiums are high enough as it is. also if anyone is in austin tx please post some junkyards. this is for a 95 240sx btw.

Dont worry about it. I've run one over and dodged several others. If the local JY's dont turnup what you need checkout woodfins.com or car-parts.com
