Maybe post what kind of car/motor yes? There might be mechanics here but I don't think they are psychic. Is it only in cold weather that it squeaks and then stops as the car warms up?

There is some slack somewhere. I'd personally replace the belts.

Is the belt deflection within specs in FSM? Most ppl usually don't get it right the first time. An easy way for me to tell if its within spec is I take the belt and twist it. If I can twist it 180 degrees and no more, I'm good.

If that's not the case and old trick I learned is to have the car at idle, take a regular bar of soap and have it rub the inside of each of the belts. Once u found the belt that stops squeaking, u found the culprit. Be careful doing this tho!

If you don't believe me about the soap thing go even search the internet.

This young guy at auto store said to chalk the belts to stop squeaking. I was asking for a belt conditioner when he said just use chalk. Not sure if he is right.
