I really love my 1999 Q45t. It just does it for me.

Not only does the engine now sound as quiet as it should sound, the driving is just marvelous.

Soon as I get a second opinion on the vibration which was linked to the tires, I'll get brand new tires and damn, its gone be a lovely view.

its like driving in elegance cause absolutely no one here around me owns one

I agree with you. I fell committed to the Infiniti Marque in 1992 when I "stumbled" upon a low mile M30 coupe. Well, long story short of it, I ended up putting over 240,000 miles on that car with standard dealer maintenance at Harper's Infiniti in Knoxville, TN, and "retired early", landing a consultant gig here in DC. The car ended up donated to charity (someone got a real gem for barely a dime) and I started looking...

Always having had lusted after the Q, I decided to take the plunge and buy my 1997 Q-45, pearl white with tan interior. My VIN is 00000830 (making that #830 for 1997?). I do enjoy my Q41, although I do understand from reading here and past reviews that the 97-01 Qs are much more "civilized and tender". As you have probably read by my few posts on here, I am experiencing problems with the dealer's integrity here in DC (Passport Infiniti in Alexandria), more to come on that after hearing from Corporate Infiniti (still no word...)

I can offer suggestions on tire replacement if you wish for long tread wear and quiet ride, or I am quite certain that others on here can offer you performance oriented recommenations as well. btw, if you haven't taken a long drive in the Q41 yet, do so !!! You will feel like you just took a 2 hour drive and you actually did the trip from DC to Knoxville (6.5 hours). I used to make the trip to see dear ole mom quite frequently, when my dog was alive and didn't want to fly him. :icesangel

Enjoy the Q ! I find it VERY pleasing myself... Now, if I can ever get that damn "plug and play" (more like "plug and pray") aftermarket CD changer to work !!!

Keith

p.s., if anyone can use a new (never opened) M30 full technical manual and owner's manual in the original Burgundy Leather pouch, please let me know. ONLY IF YOU TRULY CAN USE IT AND GIVE IT A GOOD HOME !

I think that would be #830 in the total 97-01 series, if the numbers work as they did in the earlier series of Q's. You have one of the first.

When I talk about the hesitation in my car, it is quite equivalent to how it feels if you were driving a stick shift car. you know how the car bumps when she change shift, thats what I meant my hesitation.

but nonetheless, i love the Q

dcboater - I'd be VERY interested in the M30 goods as a gift for our founder (he drives a TURBO'ed M30 droptop...)

Email me details?

There is always a slight bump when any higher-mileage A/T shifts I've found...

AZhitman, I've sent you an email.

Mr1der, I believe the M30 was exclusively brought to the USA as a 3 speed automatic with overdrive. It was a very solid (read that HEAVY), rear wheel drive car, that was sold as the Leopard in Japan.

Hope this helps.
