Ive been poking around these forums for months sence I bought my 240, and I've picked up alot of things but i have some questions I cannot seem to find the awnsers too and was wondering if you guys could help me. I want a car i can drag and maybey drift, while being a reliable daily driver. I plan on a turbo in the long run, running between 300-400HP

1. Lightweight flywheel?Ive seen both strong positives and strong negatives, Can it be driven in the street without problems after your used to it?

2. Clutches?best brand? I've been looking at ACT

3. When I go to KA-T,Can I still handel high compression? like 10.7:1 if i was running around 100 octane and was able to cool the in-coming compressed air to near ambient temperatures (dont ask how, I've got ideas)

4. Controlling the turbo...I want to have different boost settings selectable from in the cabin,at least 3 of them, while driving around i dont want to be running boost, but id like to be able to select top boost from a controller inside, etc.

5. whats the best type of turbo? Like said, being a daily driver, I dont want it to be boosting while driving around, ive heard that they give you better gas milage if not boosting(still under vaccum) because it helps the engine breath better (is that true? ) but while drag racing, id like to be running at least 350HP, what kind of boost would i need to be running? (including above said compression question) If I could get more saftley out of the engine with forged pistons, id like to run up to 500HP if possible?

Please dont flame im a complete noob to most of this-thanks-Tripp

please understand there is no such thing as a 100% well rounded car capable of everything.

get your goals for the car down solid first and BE REALISTIC about it.

from your post, i might as well say, "i want a car that can fly, go on water, and drive on the street sideways and grips really well at the SAME TIME!" which isnt really possible.

all the questions you've asked are on this forum. more specifically the KAE/KADE-T section. go there and read the stickies.

1) too light a fly wheel = you could suffer in drivability and torque, but benefit you in high rpms. but keep in mind the ka stock form is not a super rev happy engine without major modification which cost $$$$ (i found this information via google in 2 seconds with "pro and cons of lightweight flywheel")

2) search, search, search.

3) you wont be able to daily drive it unless you can find race gas all the time. also i dont think itll be too good to have super high compression and run boost together.

4) again, get your goal for this car straight. every time you change boost, you need a -complete- re-tune, unless you dont mind blowing your engine. if thats the case, might as well run your car into a tree.

5) search "which turbo should i use" on google, and actually browse forums, you will have guaranteed answers.
