A couple months ago i was having bad misfires in my number 1 and 2 cylinders. I replaced my ptu (with a used one, maybe not smart) and all seemed fine. Now it seems like it is misfiring when it is idling but when i accelerate, it stops misfiring. It doesn't misfire when i decelerate but it does when i try to hold my mph by just barely holding the gas. I have cleaned all my connectors such as ptu connectors and fuel injector connectors. Ive checked all hoses and everything is fine. I also have replaced both coil packs for the number 1 and 2 cylinders. Also my TPS(throttle position sensor) has been acting funny as in sometimes it runs better when i unplug it? IDK if that would be the problem for the misfiring though.

Hmm.
I'm having the same problems as you are, except for the TPS problem.
I've also done the same things you have, to no avail. I set up my timing on
the car to exactly 15*, which seemed to have helped some.

Mine's a 90 na, fyi.

Injectors are done, this is a very common thing to fail on the Z32. Two things are happening here, 1- there is a 12 volt charge going to the injector even when the ignition is off, this causes massive corrosion, this is how the car is wired nothing to do but replace injectors. #2- the ethanol is the gas is eating away at the injectors and causes them to fail, ethanol wasn't in the gas when these Cars were made.

There is a kit(we have) to replace with newer style injectors, connectors and adapters, problem solved.
Sorry there is just no quick fix, we do more injector jobs than any other on the Z32.

Nothing lasts forever, not even a good economy.

I definatly do not have that much money. My Z is my daily driver so would driving with a misfire be bad for the engine???? I saw some used injectors on z1motorsports.com and im wondering if i should get those for right now then later when i have enough money buy that kit that you were talking about? How long would those used ones last me?
