Thought the car had a dead battery so I put it on the trickle charger overnight. Pulled it off the charger and turned on the headlight just to double check as I left for work in another car, headlight lit up so I was on my way to work. Wife calls me a few hours later and said the car was totally dead again?

The key symbol in the dash is blinking. The car has zero power left. Cant even pop the trunk to get the owners Manuel out to do a little reading.

Anyone have a clue that I don't have? Is the car suddenly drawing the battery dead? Is in in some sort of valet mode?

Thanks!

I think you might need a new battery... If won't hold a charge for long and it will get shorter and shorter.

Jump it and drive it to autozone and have them run a test..

The key blinking on the dash...isn't that a sign of a dead FOB? Did you try starting with the actual key as opposed to the push start?

You should be able to get into the trunk through the back seat.

I tried the other fob with no luck. The trunk is full so I can not reach where the manual is. I ended up getting the car towed to the dealer and they said the car did not do what I said it did when it was there. They will try it again tomorrow. I am confused? The car would not turn on for me at all. Zero power in the entire car. But when it shows up for them it is all good and they could not detect any problems? ? ? ? WTF!

I believe you can reach the latch release through the hatch. Try opening the hatch and putting your hand straight up and see if you can touch the plastic pull.

In any case you can also get the owners manual online at Infiniti but I don't think it is going to tell you much.

I don't understand, the car is dead but when you take it to the dealer it works fine? Do the headlights work?
