Ok, every since I have bought my car 7-8 months ('91 240sx hatch) the hi-beams have never worked. It didnt bother me cause it had ultra white's in it already so low beams were good. Now I have done a silvia conversion, I want to get my hi-beams working. First I everything else works from that switch. If I have my low beams on and try to flip to hi-beam nothing happens besides having no headlights. My hi-beam indicator on my dash works. I check the fuse, was not able to find a reley. Any ideas to what it could be, possible bad switch or relay that I can not find.

an fsm should be able to guide you through the troubleshooting process.

heh, ive had the same problem for about 2 years now, maybe 3 lol. its never slowed me down. i never cared to figure out why, or fix it. i assumed it was the switch since it has the little plastic connector pieces that tend to melt. you can prob grab one from the junkyard off another 240 for cheap, i'd recommend changin that out. either that or check the wiring from there to the bulbs. couldnt be anything else i can think of. if you figure it out and it is somethin dif, lemme know, maybe i'll fix mine too in either case, lemme know what you come up with and how much it cost ya. i'm just curious.

oh yeah, the fsm doesn't cover much else about it other than what i said, i've checked. good looks though numbnuts, it's how i found out about the switch. fsm FTW. definately the best investment i ever made

It didnt have HID's was just the ultra oem replacement h4 for my pop ups and my new headlights are just the JDM dual projector headlights. Will see bout stopping by pull-a-part or asking around if anyone has them laying around.

I think I have checked them, I will look agian. But I dont remember seeing fuses for hi-beams just L and R HeadLamps. I will look again. Also I do have a FSM but I'm too lazy to find the thing in the storage.

agree with the fuses (passenger side engine bay fuse box, i believe they are both 15's) just had to replace one of mine with silvia conversion, along with a new bulb.
