It would be fun to have a sleeper G50.. SC, headers, and have it be beat to crap with the piepans on theremaxnix wrote:Take the old wheels in a trash bags and set them aside before you do your runs.
IMO, nothing is cooler than a G50 in 15s showing its rear end to newer German luxury sedans with big wheels.
DITTOIs that car the purple, whats the acutal color called...anybody?AZhitman wrote:
Looks better and better the more I look at it Rob.
Sometimes you have to sacrifice some performance for the sake of appearance, and I think those were a wise compromise.

Sorry Rob, Ididn't mean that as a zing. Every black car I see, with lighter interior colors, makes the tint look funny. I have had 3 black cars with tinted windows, and they all end up looking bluish purple after a few years. I have not tried the new ceramic or metal tints. I used to use 3M's best. I tinted my mother's front storm door, and with the white wood door behind it, it looked purple. When I painted the door brown, the tint looked fine.Rex wrote:

Jesda's tint is purple, but unless my color/resolution is off, I don't see anything purple about the car or the tint.
Rob, is you car at the stock ride height? If so, any thoughts about the Eibachs?
Purple in window tint is from the film dye changing. It is the result of a cheap and ineffective way of producing film, and does nothing to reduce infrared.rsiwicki wrote:funny thing is that I don't see any purple in the tint either....it might be the "taupe" color inside that is making it look somewhat purple. I had about the best window tint money could buy put on back in 2000 and I have yet to notice any purple tint.....maybe it is time to redo the tint?
Actually, they are a good indication of the overall tire performance envelope, especially in how they relate to slip angles. Q45tech's posts explain this.rsiwicki wrote:I have come to the conclusion that "load ratings" are just a real pain in the a$$ thing to be mindful of that really limit tire choice availability.
Don't you mean "posted speed limits"?rsiwicki wrote:I have come to the conclusion that "load ratings" are just a real pain in the a$$ thing to be mindful of .....
