For 6 months now, my 240 has sat at home.

If you've read my previous posts about my car not idling with the MAF plugged in, but does it when it isn't, well...it's still continuing.

I have replaced the following with new(er) parts:

-O2 sensor-Wiring harness-MAF-ECU-IACV (the little blue plug on the backside of the intake manifold-Intake manifold assembly (yes, the whole thing)

Now I'm completely stumped. I have checked for all vacuum leaks and this is a rebuilt motor. In doing so, I have decided to bite the bullet and take her to a shop in a few weeks. before doing so, does anyone have any input or advice for me? This is absolutely mind blowing how small of a problem has costed me a good amount of money.

the best advise i can give you is to have a buddy come look at the car because sometimes a fresh set of eyes can help.

Simple things first. fuel/air, spark , compression, and it never hurts to check all your fuses.

Sat for 6 months.... drain the fuel, replace the filter, and ad some seafoam and fresh gas and give her a whirl.

My car had this same problem. I don't know if your symptoms match mine. Mine would start, run perfectly fine for 5-30 seconds and die. It would run crappy without the MAF plugged in. Went through 2 MAFs, 3 Mechanics, countless hours and it turns out all of it was pointless. It was just the ECU. The voltage circuit was faulty.

Get your MAF checked for proper readouts. Get your MAF wiring checked for continuity. Get the MAF circuit in your ECU checked for proper voltage readouts.

I can't promise that it is this exact problem, it just sound very similar to my previous situation.

The point is, instead of replacing things, get things checked.

TPS, Timing, and Injectors are all tip top shape.
