I have HID questions. Not usual ones though...

So I'm in the process of putting back together my wrecked 99 and had palnned on using the headlights from the 97 parts car on the 99. Well, I really miss the look of the 99 HID's but they are cost prohibitive, $500 a piece USED!!

The ones from my car are in rough shape, the passenger side has basically bulb holders, wiring and ballasts and the driver's is essentially intact but has pieces of the housing missing and needs alot of work.

Can the ballasts and bulb holders be used on the 97 shells? Also, can these ballasts be used on say-Infiniti FX projectors, Acura, BMW?

Most people find a retrofit... which is essentially what you're considering, less than excellent. It may be an improvment on a '97, but I think you'll be disappointed vs. the look you had with your '99 pre wreck.
