i bought a 2016 frontier 2 mo ago. i found a factory service on this site. thanks guys. YEA. but the first thing i looked at was the trans maintenance. the page for that. did NOT show what fluid to use. I.E. factory part no. or the total fill in QTS. this is a very bad service service manual. i feel sorry for the mechanics that have to use it. iam glad i didnt pay good money for it.

Google/Yahoo Search/DuckDuckGo is your friend.

Genuine Nissan OEM Matic-S Transmission Fluid Part# 999MP-MTS00P

The info is also in your owners manual, Section 8-14 Maintenance and do-it-yourself.

Yeah, Nissan is a little weird about some of that information... if it's in the owner's manual, it's usually not in the service manual. I'm guessing the dealership techs have some other cheat sheet that they use for that stuff - or if they're like mine, they just half a$$ whatever bulk stuff they have in a drum into the car and go with it.

I can sympathize with your experience. Most people would expect to find important transmission information in the ....... transmission section! Yet many manufacturers have been dumping all the fluids and capacities data in the Maintenance section (MA). In your case you would find that 10 7/8 quarts of Genuine NISSAN Matic S ATF are needed, according to page MA-16
