how do you guys get a jack under the car to get it jacked up. I have to drive over blocks of wood in order to start jacking but it is still not high enough to get the jack in a safe spot. I know that you can jack the car on the jack spots that are in the FSM but i found out that not all of the spots are safe. I know some people on here has cars that drop to the ground and i just want to know how you guys do it?

Well, I got a low profile jack. That helps

Sometimes I have to drive onto ramps if I want to use a bigger jack.

Usually I would jack mine up from the differential carrier.

buy 2x4 drive up on 2x4put low profile jack under car onto jacking point pump it... pump it hard.then do whatever more you wish.

ive been using the ends of the frame rails as jacking points havent had an issue yet. now those pad things are a different story. broke one of thos bish off even when using a adapter piece. oh well.

lift the front: frame rails should be fine or cross member if you can reach it.rear: lift at the diff.

Not low enough.

I have a pair of super-low profile plastic motorcycle ramps, but even then my front aero hits 'em, so I have to back the front wheels onto them.

Same for the rear.

Actually, in about a week, I'll just hit a switch and raise the car. Yay.

Maybe you should get it started with a scissor jack? I use a semi low profile jack, about the size of the bigger craftsman jacks. It just barely slides under my intercooler and I jack it up from the bottom radiator support.

i just put mine on the body of the car under the door and start it then put an old rim under it and then go on the frame rail if you look at my car there is a spot under that is bent to hell but i dont really care you can see it when you just look at it and it didnt hurt anything

Drive onto ramps first, whether they be actual or makeshift. Not having a front bumper lately really helps.

I have a fairly low floor jack, but still it wouldn't go under the frame rail, so this is hwo I do.

- Put a floor jack under the diff and raise- When rear wheels are in the air, slide 2x4 under both wheels- Lower the car- Put a floor jack under frame rail and jack up

I take the flat tire jack out of the car. Then i wind it up to raise the car high enough so i can get my regular jack under there. Then pump away.

Usually start out by jacking the stitch weld under the door then go from there. My car's not SUPER low though.

I gotta drive up on 3 2x4's before a jack can get under the little guy. It gets annoying.

I remove my side skirts, start jacking with a scissor jack until I can fit my low pro jack under my frame rails

i have jack my car at the radiator support but then it started to get bent up so that was my problem. I have been trying out the 2x4 plie wood but it is still not high enough. The main thing i am trying to do is to try to get my jack under my car to reach the front sub frame support so that i know that nothing will get bent up or get damage. I know that i cannot get a jack under the car without the 2x4 plie but is there a way to do it with out the plie wood? (pictures would be great)
