but to really know what will, and won't work, what is the a safe margin of clearance (like 5mm less than stock, etc...) that i could run and still clear coilovers? not taking into account tire size at the moment?

like how much less room can i safely have and still be able to clear coilovers?

(figured this would be the best question to ask rather than will (x) offset wheel at (y) width fit.

oh, and i have an s13 coupe

16x7 +40 is about as close as physically possible to the coilovers.

Don't coilovers come in differing shock bodies? and different spring diameters?

15x7 +35 gives me 5 or less mm

+40 rubs on front
