When I bought the Versa I was driving 100 miles a day, only 20 miles a day now, so it served its purpose. Funny it had 40k miles on it was an '07, and the G as half the miles but 4 years older.jardolei wrote:From a Versa to a G35... Now thats progress! Congrats
Hoping to avoid the speeding ticket thing, my last VQ didn't get me in trouble, but it was in an SUV.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:Good luck with it!
Congrats on your new speeding ticket and chic Magnet!

Make sure to check out the G-series FAQ (link in my sig) and the other G forums. I know chano would know about the adapter cable your thinking of.
I like the stereo controls on the steering wheel too much. Got use to them on my previous Pathfinder and Versa. Hoping the Stereo holds out, but if necessary I'll replace and make sure I have MP3 and Bluetooth again as well (only thing I miss from the Versa I think).tollboothwilley wrote:Here's a tip: Save up some money and buy the Dual Din conversion kit and put in an aftermarket radio.
One of the biggest problems with the 2003/2004's is the head unit which fails with the CD player as well as can cause some issues with the AC controls. The first thing I changed out on my car was the stereo...and I havent stopped since then....
How about rf modulation for the iPod? Some of the quality ones sound fairly good and you could still use the normal stereo controls.biggie wrote:I like the stereo controls on the steering wheel too much. I've just got an MP3 phone, so just need a headphone jack input instead of Ipod.pfarmer wrote:

You have a tape deck... buy one of those tape adapters that has a headphone jack... they cost like 20 bux at wal-martbiggie wrote:I've just got an MP3 phone, so just need a headphone jack input instead of Ipod.
Could be a possibility. Been so long since I've had a tape deck, I almost forgot about that option.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:

MP3 phone, or iPod, the concept of the rf modultator still can apply. Works well with the higher quality units. Another possibility has to do with what type of antennae input you have. For about 30 bucks (an even less) you can get an rf modulator with rca input jacks that sits inline with your antennae. Some have auto sensing for when you have a source that is active on the rca jacks, other have to be turned on. But these work even better. Maybe not as good as an aux input but for retro applications very easy to add and allow use of your normal controls.biggie wrote:I've just got an MP3 phone, so just need a headphone jack input instead of Ipod.
If that's your main concern, you don't need to worry. Pac Audio makes numerous adapters that allow your steering wheel controls to control your aftermarket stereo. I have one for my Pioneer AVIC-F90BT.biggie wrote:I like the stereo controls on the steering wheel too much.
Good to have more App people around. You make it to the football games? If so we can meet up for some tailgating.SVTCOBRA wrote:CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!
And, do you see A flag in my sig? Yes, we have a BIG one waving from the front porch too!!
I'll try to go to aftermarket and keep those working, if/when the OEM has issue.JeromeS13 wrote:

Daughter is very beautiful. I feel a little 'old dirty man' saying that, but if she's into old fat guys, let me know.SVTCOBRA wrote:
