ok so a few of questions.

i was told that the thermostat for a 90 - 94 Sentra SE-R would be a much better investment ($13.00) for my SR than goin and buying a $69.00 aftermarket one.

any opinions on this???

My car has a braille racing battery. very fond of it havent had any issues with it yet. my alternator on the other hand i believe its on the fritz. last month i was driving and i lost everything, other times i will lose my screen.

my thoughts on this are that my alternator is no longer charging my battery and is causing it to be drained and blah.

any opinions on this???

so my next little bit here is kind of me wanting something to be a certain way rather than how it really should be??

so my sr has a 3in dump into a 3in downpipe into a highflow cat. now from the cat back i have an old hks cat back with a dual tip ( i love the look!! the tip is not those huge ugly round ones side by side, it looks tasteful and is only loud in 1st and doesnt get loud again till i hit 75mph). the only thing is its 2 3/4". is that cool as far as flow and pressure or should i go 3 in the whole way???

any opinions on this???

Easy way to check if you're alternator is working is to start the car, leave it idle, and disconnect the battery. If it runs, it's okay. If it dies, you have alternator issues.

Also, many auto parts stores will check your alternator charging voltage for free if you go in and ask.

Good luck!

1. go with the sentra thermostat, unless you're doing auto-x you don't need to upgrade.

2. i agree with ngibson for the alternator.

3. you're fine with a 2 3/4" exhaust. If you use a 3" on an engine making less than 250hp you'll loose power b/c the exhaust gases cool down and get dense which decreases velocity in turn creating restriction.
