i have an idea for a LS1 swap

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Do you have a chassis in mind?

I'm curious as to what transmission he's going to use. It's not like the Ford 5.4 where you can source a Ford GT transaxle to use.

Vette transmission maybe?

and yes, what chassis? or are you just gonna get some tube steel together and weld up a complete one off.

I don't think the gain (if there is any) will be worth the time and money.

I didn't say it wouldn't be unique...I just don't see any real advantage. The S chassis is already very stable, so what little gain you MIGHT see, wouldn't be worth the massive amounts of trouble you'll go through to get there.

I think your time and money would be better invested in getting all the details addressed and maybe doing ITBs on it or something like that...but that's just me.
