I have a s14 sr20 swap and i need help fixing it

Ok here are some of the small things:1.Everytime i shift(or push the clutch in) my radio will turn off and my gauges will just top out and then go back to normal..?2.My stock tach stopped working..?3.Fuel cut..?4.I've been told by several people throw out bearing is going bad(below)..? 5.Then when im cruisin every now and then htere will be a hard or moderate jerking and it feels like its coming from my rear end or transmission..?

Then last night i did some drfiting and i was on my way home and i heard some kind of humming(possible grinding) in my clutch pedal. I was in third at 35mph and let of the gas to slow down for a red light. Then i heard the noise and felt it and pushed the clutch in and i started to lose power like it was shutting off so i down shifted and let out the clutch and it started itself up i guess(this happened twice right after each other). so i sat at the light tapping my gas pedal and made it home.

SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. What wires did you splice your gauges into?2. Have you put any oil in your transmission?3. Have you ever replaced the clutch?4. Where did you go drifting in O-town?

Oh, and don't double post! Thats a big no no....

Possible IBTL

It sounds like a couple of problems. Check your alternator and battery to start with then check your wiring

for the gauges I would check the wires they spliced into. Its fairly easy to find a wire that has is going to provide a good source for you. Are your gauges mechanical or electrical? I'm assuming electrical, but I still want to ask. If they are electrical do you have a control unit? If they are all acting up together the problem would more than likely be at that unit and its wiring, because you said the radio also cuts off as well. Have you checked your grounds/or melting behind the radio ?

Is the clutching problem happening when press the clutch or when the starter button is engaged?

BTW I would not be drifting on a car that is having these kind of issues. Check your grounds and make sure you don't have anything shorting out...you don't want a fire.

ok ill check those splices. Wat do u mean control unit? Well im thinkiing that i should ground out the battery to my chassis because right now its only to my block. And i dont think i have a good enough ground. When im drifting i have none of these problems its just when im cruising. i have checked ALL my wires behind my radio.

I took my car up to the shop and they said my pressure plate is going out.

Yea, your going to need a ground from the battery to the chassis! Go to napa and get some 2 gauge wire and some connectors. They can even cut it and put the connectors on for you if you want them to. I like to break out the torch tho and do it myself.

then how did you get your car to the shop?

a control unit is the hub that some electrical gauges will connect to and get their signal from. If all your gauges are doing the same thing then the wiring issue could be at that unit...but if you dont have one then ignore that statement.

And if you have none of these problems while drifting then you should drift everywhere you go.
