hey wasup people i was just wondering if its still possible to drift on a stock 240sx maybe only with exhaust and suspension i know you are all gonna say i need lsd and all that but i assure you that will come in later but lets say if i just drop a good suspension what would be a good suspension setup to drift? and exhaust and maybe if i gut my interior would i have enough power to drift even a little on the stock KA ?

you can, but it will stress the engine more than with having an LSD because you will have to keep the engine in the higher rpm's more than with an lsd.......to keep the tire spinning.but you can actually drift with a stock 240sx open diff, just wont be as good as with a lsd.

cool so what would be the cheapest lsd to get and where does that go? in the transmission or besides the driveshaft?

at the rear end, where you see that pumpkin lookin thing in the middle of the rear wheels.(at the end of the driveshaft), lsds from a J30 or another 240sx SE that came with it.(usually you just look for a orange sticker on the rear differential cover)

any mechanic that has worked on cars most likely knows this, doesn't have to be performance wise.

I notice you are from Canada. I was under the impression that all 240sx sold in Canada had vlsd.

Might want to check and see if you already have one before buying one.
