i have a question is it possible to put a stock z exhaust on a murano

I doubt a muffler off a Z or G35 will fit. I have never tried but I do know that they are the same shape so maybe it will. But I think that the Infiniti FX35 has a muffler that sounds like what your looking for.

I have read that the 350z muffler inlet pipe is on the wrong side.

Because the Murano has a CVT transmission, the rpms stay relatively steady while you accellerate... this sounds really bad with a performance exhaust, kind of like a constant drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

He's right, it won't fit cuz the inlet's on the wrong side. I have both vehicles and looked at it real closely to see if it would fit since I put a Nismo exhaust on my Z and had access to the stock exhaust.

I did put a Gibson exhaust on my '07 Murano 3 weeks ago and am pretty happy with it. I was hoping for a little more sound, but it does seem to be getting a lilttle louder as time goes by, but it could be my imagination. I thing its louder than the stock Z exhaust would be and it feels a little more powerful but it could be my imagination. And the sound with the CVT is fine.

Remus makes a Murano exhaust but it's twice as much as the Gibson exhaust.

I know the Z muffler is possible as a member from another Murano forum has done it.Most common exhaust that is used on Murano's is the Flowmaster 80 series
