i have a question for a skyline r33 rear end

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

iam about to get a r33 vlsd and drop it into my 240sx s14 i see it has the 6 bolt output shafts would that be a straight drop in? If anyone has done this for a s14 please share the infoThanks

If its the 2x3 output shafts it will bolt right in, but I'm 99% sure RB25 rear ends had the 1x6 bolt pattern, which means you will need to swap axles as well.

R33 GTSt's have 5x1, unless they were n/a then they came with 2x3. The only 6x1's were GTR's, Fairlady's, Turbo Gloria's, Cima's, and probably a couple others.

sorry to thread jack, but i wanted to know if a r33 rear diff and axles would fit in a s13?

i got the rear end its from a '97 Nissan laurel the car has a rb25det aswell and the output shafts on that is 6 bolt the gearing is exactly the same as the skyline rear the whole pumpkin is the same.

I believe the r33 rear end will work on the s13 but not the axles from the skyline you can use your axles but you might have to redrill the output shafts on the skyline pumpkin thats the easiest way but you have to do it right

R33 GTS-T vLSD and 5x1 axles bolt up perfect in the S13. (assuming you swap the cover for the differential so that it bolts into the subframe)
