I have a question about nitrous for sentra spec-v 02

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

What type of nitrous system is it?

Here's the only thread I could find that talked much about it. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info, nitrous is one of the few things I haven't ever looked at.

OK, here's what I know about Nitrous and various methods of use. On a returnless fuel system, a dry system is not very common due to the difficulty of adding the necessary fuel enrichment needed when on N20. That's not to say it can't be done, but at this time I am unaware of anyone who markets a dry kit for this engine. The closest kit would be the dry kits manufactured by NOS and Edelbrock, for the '99 or newer Ford Mustang, both of which rely on a device to increases the amount of voltage the fuel pump. This increases the fuel pressure when the N2O solenoid is activated. I am not sure if these kits could be adapted to work with the QR25DE engines. The wiring is completely different. Another method would involve a seperate tuning device that would change the injector duty cycle. This would be the most reliable method for N2O distribution, but tuning is paramount.

Single Fogger Wet Systems: If you run a small amount 50hp or less you could pretty safely run this by -T-ing into the factory fuel line. The problem is the complexity of the intake manifold that was never designed to flow fuel. The various bends and turns, not to mention the dual runner intake complexity could allow the fuel to puddle "fall out of suspension" resulting in an intake backfire. This is common on large amounts of nitrous. 75 to 100hp. The backfire can be severe enough to cause damage to intake components.

Direct Port Fogger Systems: Probably the most effective way on this vehicle, but very difficult to install. This requires drilling and tapping the intake manifold, positioning the fogger nozzles correctly, and small tube bending. This method also requires the removal of the intake manifold for installation. This is usually best done by a professional.

The most important to any nitrous installation is tuning. Run premium fuel, the proper heat range spark plug, have safety devices(hobbs switches, WOT activation switch, and RPM window switches) Without these, you could seriously damage your engine.

Don't get me wrong, I think nitrous would be awesome on these engines, just certain precautions should be taken.
