My problem is similar to a recent poster... i have a 1996 coupe

When i turned my key off one day everything turned off(light stereo etc.) i was like wtf so i tried to start again but nothing happened. The only thing that would turn on was my dashboard clock.

I had to leave for a week and when i came back i tried to crank it again just for kicks and it started right up....

So i took it around the block and when i came back and turned the key off... boom everthings dead again....

any suggestions... pleae help

hmmm...so just the clock is on..What about the gauge cluster.

If just the clock sounds like you might have a ground problem or a short somewhere....

is there any play on the ignition? Have you looked under the steering column for loose wires?

You gotta have a short somewhere... or a loose wire. Go over your car and see whats going on.

I would say check the starter but that wouldnt cause none of the lights to come on. Unless your battery is really dead and it can only power the clock...but I dont think thats likely to just do the clock.
