Ok guys my 99 Y33 is having an issue with the amb temp. On monday it was 94 degrees outside but the gauge read 67 degrees. I need so help on figuring out why this happened.

Your FSM has pages of detailed tests [resistance measurement vs temp]

67 F ~~ 2500 ohms vs 95F ~~ 1200 ohms

Check sensor before replacing the HVAC computer.

I assume you are waiting 15 minutes of driving before relying on reading.

On a cold crank after sitting overnight the computer reads the last shut off temperature for quite awhile.

Car: lots of unique hot rods, and customs, with modern engines, and a good truck to pull the trailer.

For my knowledge, or lack there of. What does the Amb temp gauge do, does it only effect a/c? I pulled it out of my harness when putting the VH in the Z32, and just want to be sure that was a good idea.

I think there is a separate sensor for the engine intake, but I haven't studied the FSM to confirm.

Cool/cold water {rain or carwash} hitting sensor also will cause false low readings

the thing is that it was sitting in a parking lot for hours in 94 degree heat it should have registered 94 not 67.

Strange! Is it continuing to read inaccurate, or just that one time?
