So I don't have an owners manuel for my 1994 Q45 or I would simply look this up myself so I must ask for help. I am wondering if my Q should have an automatic movement of the passenger side mirror during reverse? I do note that if I put the car into reverse and move the mirror myself that it will go back to where I had it set it when I take it out of reverse. What is "Normal" opperation? Thanks for any help

Scott

Exterior mirrors should never move of their own accord.

Maybe Wes could hook you up with a link to a '94 FSM

Owners Manual says turn key to ON (engine off), transmission in reverse, set each mirror where you want it (pointed down to look at curb?). Once you adjust each mirror put it in Park and turn off the ignition and it's set.

When you're ready to use the feature (parallel parking?) put the transmission in reverse, turn the remote switch to L or R and the mirror you select will tilt down. When you move it back to any other gear it goes back to normal driving position. The last sentence in the manual states "The outside mirror surface will not turn downward if the outside mirror remote controller is turned to "L" or "R" before moving the shift lever to "Reverse".

Great feature. I've got mine set and ready to use. Too bad I never use it. Good luck.

hes right. I often forget about that feature as it does come in handy.. but it gets EXTREMELY annoying on our Suburban when it does it every time.. So annoying that we turned it off.

If infiniti would have mentioned that in their ads they would have sold more cars, just like lexus mentions all their useless features that infiniti has had for a long time... Last night my room mate said "whoa they have cars that you turn on with a button???!" No doubt he saw it on a lexus commercial!

Do the '91 Q45's have this feature as well?

And if they do, how do you disable it?

Great. That means one less electrical gremlin for me to worry about.

I like this feature and use it regularly to help protect my wheels .

At times I wish it would auto-enable, but I understand the logic behind it being a driver initiated feature.
