i have a nissan altima 2002, excesive oil consumption, need help.

i have a nissan altima 2002 with only 42,000 miles, its a great car, but the only problem is the oil consumption. can anybody tell me why?

Where do you get your oil changed?

I haven't had this problem with my '02, but have on other seamingly perfect cars.

I found it was from taking them to quick lube type shops. What happened repeatidley was they used a gasket or something like that was made for Honda vehicels. Turns out that many of these shops just use the Honda part on nearly any asian cars....they are cheap and readily available due to the number of Honda's on the road.

Becuase of this, we had a VERY slow leak.
