I don't want to disclose it here, but I think I have a great idea for a product for our cars (would be for drifters and rally drivers). Is anyone here a manufacturer or know one personally? I'd like to run the idea by someone who could actually get it made. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the thing is that I'm not sure exactly how the mechanics of it will work. Not sure if I need that for the patent or if I need just the idea.

patent your idea! Who cares if the engineering mechanics of it don't work yet. If tis' something you know will work with a few tweaks here and there, then patent it. If not, then just see if it works.

Matt - Email me at [email protected]

Depending on the item, I have a manufacturing facility and some hookups in the business.

At worst, I'll say no thanks, and hopefully point you in the right direction... :)

Like 5 luggers dont have a wide enough selection of rims as is. Slap a nico sticker on the rim or your choice & be happy.

Throw a bone to those of us that refuse to pay up to $1k for 4 more lugs. =( I dont really care, i just bought rims lol

I am going to let it loose because I'm told it pretty much exists already.

The idea is to make a product to replace the ebrake handle with one that has a 2 stage button. You could press in the ebrake button and it would stay in so you can quickly pull the ebrake and release it for drifting use. When you press it again, it will release and you can use your ebrake for a parking brake again.

Just an idea...

I saw something similar on ebay. Basically it was a cap or something along those lines. It just sticks in your ebrake button so it's permanently pressed in. I thought it was kinda lame cuz it was like really big and ugly, and came in like yellow or something stupid. Your idea was be more asthetically pleasing at least :-D.

yeah it exsists.......my friend made his with the lock pin(if that's what it is called) from his door lock .....he rigged it so if he pulls his handbrake it doesn't lock in possition unless he pulls it up and then pulls the pin out to lock it in the up position..... anyways you can buy a "pretty" one from phase2motortrend for $13http://store.yahoo.com/phase2m....html

good idea though.....at least 5 years late though (that is when i first saw the mod)

hey, this is stephnic, i got a new screen name since my old email address is changed and such. as far as making a limited production wheel, Id be all for it. It costs about $60k to produce a new wheel model after tooling, testing, and stocking. So the first 10 people will get a special NICO deal, $6k for the set!!! Yes people! this offer wont last long so be quick! Send me cash/check/money order for $6k and I will make a random wheel and paint NICO on it with some nail polish. ;)

Screwing with ya, but as far as producing a wheel, if Chris at underground wants to cover the tooling and testing costs we could team to produce something under his name. I don't think it would be a NICO specific wheel, probably a series of drift style wheels. Totally up to the big Rigg man, I'll talk with him later about it.

it's called a spin-turn knob. many drifters use it. You can find it in japanese auto shops around here. [/img]

when you want to drift, all you ahve to do is depress the ebrak, push the button in, then it will not lock if you pull the brake up.

when you want to park, you jsut pull the button out, pull up on the brake, and it will stay. I'm surprised not a lot of people know about this.
