I have a 91 Q45. HICAS

I added p steering fluid but the light still comes on. also when i hit a bump the rearend gets shakey. its pretty scarey at 60mph or better. it feels almost like the car is skidding sideways for a split second. ive seen posts about HICAS bypass or removal . What exactly needs to be removed, and where is it located? If i need parts to bypass can you provide part#'s and where hey can be obtained? autoparts sore, dear, etc...

whenever the light comes on, the HICAS system puts itself into "locked straight" mode, where its basically like its not there...

I would try doing the self diagnosis.

You probably need to start by inspecting your rear subframe and differential bushings. Being silicone filled, pretty easy to tell when they have collapsed if you missed the leaking stage.
