ok so i came up on $1000...but i dont know exactly how to spend it and get the most bang for my buck.

here's what i have:1992 240sx hatchbacksr20det redtop - rebuilt T25 - ebay FMIC - 3" exhaust all the way back - greddy type rs bov - turbo xs dual stage boost controller - electric fan

i dont know wether i should get a T28...because i dont know if i need a z32 maf, of bigger injector or a chipped ecu...

i was also thinking about getting HKS 256 cams to match the T25

give me some ideas...thanks, joe

I say a nice set of tires/wheels or coilover

turbo is nice but I would associate some head work suchs as cams, injectors, valve springs/retainers with it because tuning is needed

depends what you are trying to do. i would definitly get a suspension if you don't have one already. it also depends on whether or not you would be installing the stuff yourself. i would personally get s14 turbine, 264 brian crower cams, bigger injectors and a rom flash. might be able to get all that done with a G. Just gotta shop around a little. i know phase2motortrend has the brian crower cams for like $300 for in and ex.

oh yeah and a z32 maf would definitly be a good idea

well this is what i was thinking...

- using my T25 and getting 256 hks cams, a nismo fpr, z32 maf, and chipping my ecu...

...i dont know if i need a z32 though if i run this set up...

why get hks cams when you can get the BC ones cheaper and they are just as good IMO. i would get bigger injecters and a better fuel pump if u want to turn up the boost.

if youre planning on motor work, plan on upgrading the anemic t25. that will probably drain your budget tho.

my vote goes to coilovers/suspension. makes the car that mch more fun IMO

lightweight flywheel, driveshaft and then allocate the remaining 150 into something like maintiance, replacing water pump or something like that.

if i just get a t28 turbo can i put it on and boost safely without the z32 maf, bigger injectors, and a tuned ecu?

i was thinking about boosting 10-12psi....will my stock motor run better with the t28? i have a walbro 255

There is no tuneing required when switching to a t28.

be careful with running the T28 w/ up boost on stock ecu. Have only seen lean conditions without the proper fuel adjustments. It run fines and feels strong but not necessarily the best bet.

I say go with Tires, and a j30 rear, and a AVCR

i would agree. putting more boost without tuning is like adding more air without adding more fuel. so yeah running lean.

Best way to build around it is to get rid of it. If you keep the boost low you are fine with installing a T28 on your SR. Save about $250 for parts to install the damn thing though.

I really wouldnt mess with a turbo right now anyways, Id do the injectors and mess with a turbo later when you have more money to spend.

You do realize that you'll need an ECU tune for those injectors which will run you $500.
