i have a customers car here that we did a turbo upgrade on and had to repair some stuff that he broke a few years ago. i strated it up and the problem that it came in here with was still there. i wired in a supplied afc to the car and just looking over a few things, i realized that the tps was reading 5 volts all the time.

i checked what i could with no diagrams. i found the 5 volt input to the tps and it is fine. i then checked the siganal going backa nd it had 5 volts --WITH THE TPS UNPLUGGED-- i then cut the wire from the ecm and realized then that the signal wire was actually a 5v output? i am using the number 20 pin. white wire, this wire must be right, i checked for shorts and what not and found nothing.

the car did come in with this problem and the customer wanted to do the upgrade and some other stuff. it does this with or without the afc.

i thought i had to have a bad ecu, i opened it up and it had dirt in it and was rusty. made total sense. i bought a new ecm, same damn thing. i need help. i can pay the person if they fix the car. feel free to call me any tiime, josh 610-245-1638
