Yours and that other guy's.

He said something about bond rates having to do with discrete math, which makes no sense whatsoever. And I was more commenting on you saying it was "simple math". A large number of people never even make it to Algebra II. Sure, I could claim that multivariable calculus is "simple math" because I know how to do it, but that would be silly.

My computer is having problems. SEnd a link to that section on http://www.bankrates.com that states the interest rate doubling in x amount of years. I can't find it. Calulate 5,6,7,8,9, and 10 years at the rate needed to double your money and then average out the sum. Next time you'll see how easy it is!

They are all 5 speeds as far as I know. I am not too sure on the R34 GT-R though, so don't quote me on that. R32 and R33 were all 5 speeds.

RB25DET found only in R33 Skyline GTS25-t's, R34 25GT-t and C34-C35 Laurel Medalist turbos, and Club S Turbos.

Rated at between 247-265PS depending on the year and model...i.e. Neo 6 RB25DET.

RB26DETT found only in GT-R's or others where people have done crazy swaps. Rated at 280ps, but depending on model year of GT-R, varies slightly. R32 ratings are between 280-295ps, R33 ratings are between 290-310ps and also depends on if it is Vspec model or not. R34, not too sure at the moment, but have heard the normal GT-R is pushing between 310-330 and the VspecII is somewhere in the neighborhood of 340ps.

R32 skylines did not get a DET in the RB25 platform. They had a GTS25 but it was an N/A motor. They didn't get turbos till the R33 chassis.

That's correct. It's more like for a selling point. Which car would you buy that had generally the same specs, but one car had 20 extra hp...that's what that agreement was based on.
Just to clear something up, The r32 GTS-t did come with the RB20DET Turbo engine. I know this cause I had I a 92 when I was stationed there a few years ago and my buddy just recently purchase a 93(for 3k nicely modded i might add). The R33 GTS25-t models switched to the RB25DET. All GTS-t's had 5 speeds and turbos available(hence the t int the GTS-t). And the R34 GT-R had the 6 spd GETRAG transmission.

you know what... if you've got $35k then just get a skyline gtr. i don't know a single 240sx owner who would rather have a 240sx than a skyline. maybe there is one out there, i don't know. what i do know is that if it were me i'd buy a skyline. stop arguing about investing crap. if you're gonna spend your money then you're mind is made up and no one should give a damn about how you do it. focus on getting a skyline.

I agree with tears, I'd rather have my s13 coupe than a skyline. Skylines are great and all, but I just never fell in love with them. I still respect what they're capable of, I just never really got into the whole skyline thing.

Mr. InsanityInc,

what the F.uck are you talking about?

and how old are you?

the reason math, discrete math, whatever came up, was becuase, it was a hyperactive discussion among dreamers like us, who don't have a 35k to waste!

one phrase; "small talk" for an opening of discussion. comprehendo?

please tell us your age Mr. Wiseman.

Are you sure your not talking to me? I'm in my mid 30's, Kinda scares ya? It's a long story why i drive a 240. Think april 12th of 2000 and you'll figure it out. And...due to my age, $35,000 is a drop in the bucket. Check out that site mentioned above and get your figures. Post the answers and i'll show you how simple the math is. Just so you think i'm not pulling some funny stuff, the answer is 72 (seventy-two)
