I Have 3 SAFC 2 Questions

Before anyone mentions it, YES I did search but I did'nt find anything conclusive.

I'm going to be getting an SAFC 2 soon and just had these questions to ask.

1. Is there an "UPDATE" for this modle or do I use the the same diagram as for the SAFC 1, World N3-b?

2. Does the 91 kade ecu have one or two knocking sensor wires?

3. Is there anything else I should be aware of with this unit as opposed to the first or no?

yes the SAFCII you would need to find the knock sensor wire on the ECU harness since the SAFC I does not have a knock meter function.

now about the 91 ecu having 2 wires for the knock sensor i'm not sure about.

and there are more features on the SAFC compared to the first one. such as you can fine tune it more cause they give you 12 points of adjustment instead of 10, and they can store 2 maps instead of just one. so thats all the difference that i'm aware off ( i have used both versions )

to address your wiring diagram question, fiznat did a good S13 DOHC ECU pinout a while back

I would discard the diagram Apexi lists and use their instructions with that pinout diagram.

I only show one wire to the knock sensor listed so I assume there is only one (I dont see why they would use more than one anyhow)

You only have 1 wire for the knock sensor. I used Fiz`s wire diagram and it worked fine for me.

Oh btw S14tat, it's 8 settings on the SAFC 1 not 10 but eh, who cares right?

haha yeah i forgot the actual number but 10 would seem to make more sense and i remembered the SAFC II having 2 more
