I cannot stand Geddy Lee's voice and now I get to hear it every 10 damn minutes while watching TV. Thanks so much, ***holes. I really wanted to go deaf before the age of 30.

I cannot even attempt to express my hatred for Rush. Of all the s*** cliche rock bands to use in an ad, they HAD to pick Rush. Oh look! We can play garage jam sessions on stage! One of us screams a lot! The other one knows how to play 3 or 4 power chords and our drummer can keep 4/4 time! HOW THE F#$K DID WE GET FAMOUS?!

I know. IIRC, Greg does too. It's okay.

There are a few bands out there who are genuine physical pain to my ears. Not by choice. I simply can't stand their music. Rush is one.

I really don't like much of ANY cliche rock (can't think of a better term). Journey, Boston, Foreigner, Rush, Styx, all of them hurt my ears on a bad day and bore me senseless on a good day. And it's never a good day when they're combined with water-cooled VWs.

I spent 800 miles in a Passat last week. It was like a fancy Impala. Meh.

You either love Rush or loathe them I've come to find out. I happen to think they are the greatest rock band to grace our fair side of the continent. They are FAR more varied than you give them credit for.

I saw them a few years ago... they were meh. I had more fun rocking out to Boston in the car on the way to the show with my friends than I did at the actual show.

RIP Brad Delp!

Journey doesn't suck, they're just not relevant anymore. Rush just happens to rock because of Neil Peart. End of story.

Neil Peart is actually pretty awesome. Despite that most of their songs are basic 4/4 signature, he's capable of some pretty good drumming.

I just can't get past the fact that Fly By Night is now stuck in my head. As with most bands, the stuff everyone recognizes usually isn't their best stuff.

This is simply not true. Because one of the things Rush is known for is the time signature change-ups they do in just about every song they have...

Anything else think Red Barchetta would make a great movie? At least for car buffs. Would have to add more to the plot other than a kid joyriding in his uncle's Ferrari (Has to be a ferrari) but the framework is there.

I should note that I have a SERIOUS intolerance for bad singers. Bad vocals are easily the best way to ruin a song.

There are bad voices and then there are bad singers. And then there are bad singers with bad voices. Geddy Lee is the in the third category. Neil Young is in the first category: a great singer with a horrible voice. Tom Petty's another good singer with a horrible voice.
But Geddy Lee is just a mess. If he'd shut up for a second I might be able to hear the music.
Hell, even Robert Plant pisses me off sometimes with his weird sex noises and screaming nonsense in the middle of good music.

Music is just best without bad singing.

I played around with Google a bit, and it turns out I was wrong. I never heard much that was interesting from them on the radio, so I assumed there wasn't much better out there but then I always get after people who say they don't like Zepplin because all they've ever heard is Stairway and Rock and Roll, so I should probably STFU. Fans usually pick something less well-known and more interesting (and thus less popular) as a favorite.

You're probably right. Again I blame the radio: everything I've ever heard from them has sucked, so I expect more suck if I explore further.

Rush > Volkswagen. It doesn't matter what song you play in that commercial, the car still sucks. I think you are transferring your hatred for the car to the song. It could have been worse. They could have played Jesda's favorite Song of the Summer. ;)

Seat bottom is uncomfortably narrow, narrower than the seat back. Apparently Germans are wide up top with no butts.

I agree that his voice is just painful.

But power cords and 4/4 time?

Do you even music?

^ Oops I'm retarded and cannot read.

Honestly, I like male singers that sound feminine.

I'm a die hard Circa Survive fan.

But Rush... Sigh. Definitely this:
