My wheels are always dirty days after i clean them!!!!! Yes i know the reason is because of brake dust, but this seems to be a big problem for g35 owners. Does any one have a solution????[IMG][/IMG]THXXXXXX

Welcome to NICO!

The 03-04 years are notorious for front wheel brake dust. I know it was fixed in late 04-05. I'm not sure there is a definitive cure...anyone?

That's funny, my '93 300zx was MUCH worse than my G. Isn't the amount of brake dust buildup an artifact of how much finish you have on your wheels?

I mean, since my wheels are essentially new they still have a ton of clear on them... the brake dust seems pretty minimal.

I've heard though that earlier Gs were notoriously hard on pads.

I remember hearing it was a problem with the pads. Too soft.Believe the remedy is new pads. Might want to use the Search button.

Welcome!

Have you tried waxing the wheels? I know that sounds stupid but I use the diamond turtle wax and its clear even when dry. I wax my wheels when I wax the car every month. Wash it about every other week and wipe it down with a 'california car duster' between washes. It stays pretty clean.

I wax the windsheild too LOL, Rain-x is pretty much car wax. I worked for Unelko when I was 18.

Jeff that is not stupid. I,ve seen the guy at the carwash doing it to his 03 G35. We talked a bit and he said it helps on this dusting issue.

I have the same vehicles as you and switched to Hawk brake pads with new Infinity rotors. The dust problem is 99% gone!!!!!!! Get the Hawk pads and forget about black dirty wheels.

How do these new brake pads/rotors compare in performance and wear?
