Man, I hate the people who play initial D over here in fresno. They can't play the game well so EVERYONE has either a DC2 or a GC8V. Seriously, nobody will get any other car and they think that they're so great how they can crash into the walls and still get under 3 minutes in Akagi. Racing uphill against people in Akina is fun, I am fairly decent uphill in Akina with my MR2, 3'26" is my best time. Anyway, I raced this guy with a STI and I made every corner except for the one after the third checkpoint (I always miss it because I'm retarded) and he beat me by a split second. He crashed at 70% of the turns. It sucks. I hate it. I think I'm going to quit. Before that though I'm going to steal everyone's card who has a DC2 or GC8V and put a sign up on the machine that says, "People who use the ITR and the STI suck because they rely on over-powered cars to win."

Alot of racing games are like that, I hate that. There's only like 1 game I can think of that kicks you in the balls if you hit the wall. That game is Ferrari 355 Challenge. Even on console, games like Need for Speed Underground, Sega GT, and the god-like Gran Turismo. GT isn't that bad though, but it has it's moments. For instance, the Super Speedway Endurance race in GT3. My little brothers friend didnt even turn the whole race, he just rode (is that a word?!) the wall the whole time.

no way, it's all about Hard Drivin'

you had to hold the clutch in to start the car, how cool is that?

Don't look for a sweet, realistic racing game anytime soon. The GT staff isn't allowed to show crash damage due to the contracts signed with the various car companies.........

Apparently they think that if people see their cars destroyed on a video game, people might not want to buy them!

My question is this: When is a company going to release a driving wheel with feedback, shifter AND a clutch pedal. It doesn't have to work or anything, but I envision a clutch pedal kit that activates the shift buttons..........therefore you can't shift without using the clutch!

Yeah, that game kicked *** for the time...

Then they came out with Race Drivin', which was even better.

But F355 Challange is like Race Drivin' of current. It also has a clutch that is *very* realistic. Just like Hard/Race Drivin'. If you clutch off too fast you bog the car and kill it.

One thing though the Initial d game is koOL..I like it a lot...And most of all I agree with you...People choose the DC2 because they can't drift for S@#T... That's why I have My s15 with me all the way... I hate people with DC2s and EG6s...all them front wheel drive...

yeah, Initial D is cool. But nobody actually knows how to play. From my mathematical calculations, there is 3-5 good players who actually know how to play, for every arcade that has the game.

you know what's really fun to play just for wrecks?

NASCAR Thunder 2003, they supposedly have the most advanced crash system known to date.

Uhhh it's been out for a while, and lots of simulation games for PC use the clutch, I believe it's sensitive too, so you can slip it when you're launching. If the game supports it, but most simulations do.
