So I went shopping today. I backed into my spot at the mall.

Apparently some dumb $%#$%#$#$# decided to pull up so close behind me that they HIT my beloved J. Hit meaning nudged, or just bumped into.

I am now the proud owner of a series of spider-web cracks on the rear bumper, immediately below the license plate, and some missing chips.

Being the upstanding citizen this person obviously was, they got the hell out of there before I got back.

So once again,

I hate people.

And I hope karma catches up to this prick.

When I was a kid I had a pristine black 71 Mach 1 Mustang that was the love of my life. At a discount store parking lot some slug not only parked by feel against my front bumper-THEY LEFT IT THAT WAY AND WENT SHOPPING! I took a crescent wrench out of my glove box and relieved them of all four headlights, which made their nighttime drive home challenging.

that really sucks!!!!! i'm on my way to the mall right now, and will drive the lot, basically "casing the joint" till i spot the place where the least damage could be done to the Q. in a corner spot is usually best!!!

I always get some rolling eyes from the girlfriend when I look for parking spaces. I look for end spaces (no risk on one side), not beside cart corrals, short light doors, etc...

She loves it when I park waaaay back, but it helps the car and my width .

I'll take a picture to show the extent of the damage...I suspect it's not fixable unless I take the whole bumper off and repaint it...but you never know.

Nonetheless, I am super impressed.

Thats exactly what I do, exept I especially avoid the closeness of pick-ups, vans and domestic SUV's ( I dont worry about rbotehr Qx4's though....)

Similar thing happended to me but while I way away from home for 3 months. My wife was driving the car at the time and some numbnut backed pretty hard into the right rear corner. My wife didn't notice it and I didn't either until I saw that the right rear tail light assembly was slightly sprung out! The J was hit so hard that it actually slightly bent the sheet metal on the rear quarter panel! My wife has no idea when it happened. I decided not to fix it because the I don't notice the flaw too much but still....

Sometime the corner are not that safe also. I usually park the farest away from everyone. My wife sometime get embarrassed by it. I told her well, we need the exercise anyway

Well a long time ago my moms Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was totaled while parked. Also my aunts altima was totaled while it was parked. And my moms Max was hit by a jeep while leaving the Toys R Us parking lot.

I had a friend at my school that got hit by some crazy ***** and the funny thing was, she left the car there and went to school anyway. AND, she also hit 2 other cars next to her. I went outside with my friend to see the damage and we brought the school cop with us. The cop (who's actually really cool) just shook her head and said, "that's one crazy *****." Haha.
