so on my way from school today the 240 god turned his back on me and this happened!!!people should learn how to brake. i just thought i would share my pain with you all.

Aww that's sad. I assume it was a hit and run? If your insurance covers that just grab yourself a new bumper with the deductible.

ya i know who did it. we exchanged insurance info it should all be taken care of. if the laddy was 30 years younger i would have punched her in the mouth lol.

Dude !! That really sux.... but at the same time, it could have been much worse. Did you call the police to have an accident report filled out ? You got hit it the rear which is almost automatically the other person's fault. It may also keep your insurance rates from going up being the other person's fault.

your right, it could have been worse. its just stressful, an im not looking forword for my car to be gone for a few days in a shop. Also i have to take it to a muffler shop because the impact snaped the weld behind the muffler. so there is another day or so. You should see her ride it was a pontiac montero, she has to basicaly replace the front clip. I had to disconect the passenger headlight housing to stop it from falling off. Her license plat was wedged between the exhaust and bumper. Shes gettin worse then i am serves her right for hurting my baby.

just drop off the bumper at the shop, and drop off exhaust at muffler shop. you'll be able to role like that for a week. i had to roll with no front for a few days when i ripped up my fiberglass version select, and i also i had to roll with no exhaust when hanger weld broke (open downpipe sr sounds sexy).

yeah, i wouldn't stress about that too much.

You can pick up a used white 240 coupe bumper for cheap off the classifieds pages here or at a salvage yard local.

I'd work something out with the other person and avoid dealing with insurance companies entirely. Ask her what her deductable is and just have her pay you that much. She'll be happy because it won't be a claim against her, and you'll have money left over after replacing the bumper.

so i might just have the worst luck in the world. A few days ago my car was backed into again!!! thank god i havnt repaired the damage yet. So i was pretty cool about it. i told her not to worry about it. An update i got the claim from the insurance company they want to settle with $878 for all the repairs plus a rental car. What do you all think about that?

seems reasonable to me. A bumper really isnt alot to fix especially since you can just nab one from the J yard and take that money and put it twords suspension, interior, or whatever.

just post in the WTB section... people that have just installed rear bumpers have the stock bumper just taking up space and will sell it cheap.
