i hate my sunroof !!!

so i just bought the car recently and didnt know it had an aftermarket sunroof. i shouldve known because it wasnt a power sliding one... and it says 'skymate' on it. anyways, its pretty hot nowadays, and its even hotter when the sun is beaming straight down into my face through the stupid sunroof.



i look up and its just like a piece of glass ! no tint or anything to help block the sun. its SO HOT, espeically at noon. was wondering if i could like tint the sunroof or something haha. just wanted to rant about something i dont like about my car

any suggestions on how i can get the sun out of my face more ?

Tint it yourself, its not hard at all. Not only that, but since its not in a "hey look at me" area, it doesnt have to be perfect...

Just cover it, you don't need it, I never use mine....

That looks like a perfect candidate for 5% mirror tint to me.

That or a sheet of vinyl. But I would think the mirror tint might be better - being reflective and whatnot. And you could at least see out of it if you so ever desired.

just get somthing that wont bubble, fade or change colors cuz that will see more sun than anything else.

Haha, the picture looked like a broken brown tinted sunroof until i realised that you were under a building.

Yeah, tint that sucker up good, otherwise itll bubble or something.

is there a local shop that does tinting? id be willing that there is, and make sure they give a warentee against bubbling/coloring, the one down the street from me gives a lifetime warantee(sp?)

Speaking of Fritz's, how much does their tinting run with that kickin' warranty?

i think it was gona be like 120 for my 240sx. they cant do windows with "dot stippling" or the little black dots around the edges because they will cause bubbles

havent had the sunroof tested for water leaks yet. it makes whitsling sounds though... so i hope it doesnt leak -_-

do'h, the whistling could just be from the rivets or whatever their called, hold you hand up and feel for air flow.

dont feel the air flow... but when i pull down on the rubber thing a little, i hear more sound

mine whistles going like 110, when i begin to open the roof (when u pull the handle down and it closes a lil more) it stops tho, bad seal maybe....

Tint it baby! I have 5% mirror on mine and it just makes it a bit lighter inside the car.
