Hey guys,

This sucks! I just went out to test fit my turbo and manifold now that the motor is in and the stupid thing wont clear the steering. So now I need a new turbo and manifold. I have some cash but not a whole lot so I need to sell this stuff, maybe someone in the UK could use it. Now the question is, what turbo and manifold to get? I dont have time to get anything fabricated from scratch so an SS Autochrome manifold and a big t28 may suit me for a while. I dont know what to do, help me guys! I need my car to run ASAP. HELP!

holy crap Ian... you just can't win can you bro?:(

I would try that equal length t2 manifold ssautochrome had out afew days ago with either a t28 or a gt25r... if you still want to stick with a larger turbo, they also make a t3 flanged top mount mani, and you could purchase a t3/t4... I think thats what Dee will recommend:)

i'm biddin on that *****in manifold right now(the t3/t4 one) and i'm gonna see if someone can source me a t3/t4 for pretty cheap.

Hey, i have one that i think is t4 flanged.. not sure but the new manfiolds from ssa are both... ANYWAYS, its blown or something but its my friends and he would probly sell it for ~100 dollars and you could get a rebuild kit. Or... go to http://www.blaastperformance.com. Thats where i got mine. It was 350ish shipped and they have GREAT customer service. If you interested in the one i got shoot me an email at [email protected] and ill ask my friend about it.

Oh lol sorry. I found an auction on ebay that ended for likr 370 shipped and i asked them if i could get the same deal. Watch ebay for em caus they are there all the time.

If you dont win this, then just keep the auction number, then send them an email with it and ask if you can get it for whatever price this one goes at :). These guys are really nice and replaced my turbo when it didnt work (for whatever reason).

ill sell you my SSautochrome for cheap, maybe even trade it for that HKS ssq if you still want to get rid of it. also i suggest you get some smaller injectors.

those 720s arnt goin to work on a chip , we wont beable to get them to idle or run properly unless we get them to the dyno, a friends company just did a sr with 720s and they had a hard time getting it to run good enough to get to the dyno.

i was thinkin of trading/buying some 550cc injectors but i'm kinda pissed cuz i got the fuel rail drilled for those 720s

and now i need a new mani and turbo. sorry jon, but i dont want that ssautochrome one. i'm tryin to get an equal length one or that top mount t3/t4.

right now, i feel like my project is going down the ****ter. i dont know what to do.

SSAutochrome, hasn't put another one of those equal length mani's up yet. I hope they do, as I'm really intrested in it. I'm hoping to have my car back together in the next 2 weeks....

the manifold was a custom one that i believe used to be ray's (drumma022) but i got it from a shady character "nomoremr2" (for those of you who remember that drama). its a tubular one and the manifold clears fine but the turbo hits the motor mount and possibly the steering (i couldnt tell for sure). the turbo is an IHI RHC6, it has dual ball bearings and ceramic wheels. this turbo has been known to make 550hp on mr2s in japan. the exhaust side is about t25/28 size and the compressor looks like that of a t4. so it should spool quickly and give good top end too. i just need a combo that works cuz my car was supposed to be running in 2 weeks.

jon, would it be a lot easier to run some 550s and the z32 maf? i assume you probably have some of those programs around since it is a common combo.

dee, how bout findin me a turbo like the one you spoke of before. 60 trim i think with the .48 exhaust side for a quick spool but good top end.

let me know guys. i'm also taking offers on the exhaust manifold and turbo if anyone's interested. and possibly a tial 38mm wastegate if i go internally wastegated.

yes 550s and the z32 will be alot eaiser, thats what im running on my setup. if the injectors arnt enough ill step up to some 650s , ebay 205 for some pte 550cc injectors, you shouldnt have a problemn selling the 720s.

what flange is that manifold.

hey jon, i'll trade you an hks bov ;) plus some cash for that manifold... I got an ARC bov, so I'm not using my hks one anymore!

its like this one, but with a rubber pipe that allows it to be used on a stock SR intercooler (in place of the stock bypass valve...) its also in better condition but this gives you an idea:)

the flange is actually vary close to the same size at a t25/t28. i had the studs moved to fit the IHI flange but it's basically the same size. maybe i could just get the studs changed on one of those SSautochrome manifolds so i can keep the turbo. i just need a solution, fast! anyone wanna trade some 550s and a lil cash for my 720s?

jon, what bov and hotpipe do you have currently?
