i Hate my HUD!!!

well i know there pretty known for being a pain in the a** and now working all the time but heres a wierd one for yall, i havent owned this 93 for very long but its been doing this since i bought it.

The HUD works.... but only when its warm or hot in the car. If its good and warm outside in the morning when i get up for work and the car has been sitting in the sun, it will work from the time i get in it. but if its mild say 70 degrees then ill get in and it wont work at all and it takes about 40 min of driving (i have a hell of a drive to work) with the windows up mostly for it to pop on.

The other thing, its not just the HUD, the whole instrument cluster lighting isnt working until its warm, all the gauges, besides the digital part of course since its driven off lights. works fine. ANY ideas on this, thanks.

Im also thinking about just converting to analog, from what i hear its as simple as pulling the old cluster and harness and plugging the new one in?

theres a writeup on this issue. its a capacitor in the gauge cluster that causes all of this.
