I HATE it when other drivers do this.....

I HATE it when I am making a right turn in a residential street or parking lot and the fool trying to make a left at the same time cuts wide and comes across my lane forcing me to stop mid turn.

WHY oh WHY can't people make left turns correctly anymore.

Oh oops I do that all the time, but usually because the other person pulled out about 10 feet ahead of the stop line and it makes my turn a pain in the a**.

Sbird1 YES!!! That is it! I should be able to make a right while someone else is making a left.

Leaving my neighborhood this morning a police officer a POLICE OFFICER did this to me! The glared that I would dare try to turn right while he is turning left. It happens to me every single day, there needs to be a PSA or something.

Some people (apparently like our friend Eric here

) are douchey drivers. One of my biggest pet peeves is the stop line. It's there for a reason, people!

Ok take into consideration this.

You are making a right, the guy is making a left onto a street going southbound. On the opposite side of the street (his on-coming traffic) there is another car there trying to make a right. But that person is well over the line in the middle of the corner waiting on this guy to make his left.

Therefore; instead of him hitting or causing a wreck, his first indication is to turn inside the curve towards you, making a right.

Now, blocking you from making a right.

My answer. If the light is red, I always COMPLETELY stop, before I make a right, to understand what traffic is doing, if there is anyone turning, etc.

If that's not the case, then people are just douchey drivers. This is America. Even though we have common sense, some people drive that possess skills not even able to dress themselves in the morning.

Not what is happening, its just lazy drivers cutting across my lane to make their lefts instead of starting the turn later and SLOWER to stay in their lane.

It happens alot in parking lots too. People don't know how to drive.

Unless of course your state is too poor and corrupt to afford proper road maintenance and all traffic paint has long since been scrapped off the road. Scranton roads are just strips of road: no lane markers, no stop lines, no turn lanes. Just road.

my neighborhood is where I get it the most... any residential neighborhood actually. There are no lines of any kind and right as your coming down the street to make a right here comes some fool flying arount the corner making a very wide left and cutting through half your lane.

Yeah I was turning left into my neighborhood and this old lady kept creeping forward despite the fact I was turning in front of her.

Also I HATE people who stop at yields instead of merging, eventhough they have a lane to accelerate/slow down or whatever to merge.

It happens all the time at the Independence road Exit by my house.

I also HATE when people drive 40 mph down freeway off ramps then look like scared kittens when they fail at merging onto the freeway. Yeah no one is going to let in a car going half the speed of the other cars on the freeway

I need pics of the intersection.

In tight urban areas, I will not turn right while someone turns left. There simply isn't enough room to do it without encroaching. In the 'burbs, the wide lanes and shoulders make it easy.

It pisses me off even further when I inch forward, and they mimic it! SERIOUSLY!?!?
