Is it possible to put your short throw shifter in backwards. I boutght a fidanza short shifter for my ka, besides coming with no instructions it was very easy to install. After seeing pictures of other shifter installs(obx and pilot), I think I put it in backwards. In the pics I have seen the shifter looks to tilt towards the trunk, mine tilts toward the dash. It seems to work but in third the handle touches the plastic around the boot. And just for those who wonder why i didn't pay attention to the stock position, i thought i did but after a knock down drag out with the c-ring, when i jerked the ring out the shifter came to and landed in my lap, and i guess i forgot. any help would be great.

learn to love your C-ring...post pics. if you need to switch it then it wont be that bad. If you have snap ring pliers you will be able to swap the shifer in 5-10 minutes.
