I just rebuilt my stock T25 and it boosted just fine until I drove it. I rebuilt my motor as I had a bad piston. While the motor was out I rebuilt the T25 as it was starting to smoke. I put everything back together and turned the car over for a few minutes until I had oil pressure to circulate oil through the motor and the turbo. She fired right up. I set timing. Let her idle for a while while I checked for any anonymous leaks. No leaks good to go. She had been running for about 10 minutes at this time. I gave her a little gas using the throttle body and she revved just fine. I gave her a little more gas and I heard the blow off valve (SSQV) So finally I decided to take her for a spin. I shut her off and cleaned up my tools. Got in and no boost. My boost gauge will read zero and that is as much as she will boost. Now I don't have a boost controller I have the HKS wastegate actuator set at 12 psi. I have been driving the car like this for a year with no problems. Before I take everything apart to check the turbo does anybody have any ideas or has anybody run into this before. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I found the problem. The turbo seized. The compressor doesn't spin at all. So in essence I am now running a RWD SR20DE......lol I am in the process of trying to find a new turbo.

did you have the egr just venting if so then the sound you heard was most likely blowing of air went you hit boost and when you closed it then that stopped. nothing to be worried about.

Quiet is good usually, means everything is working smoothly, haha yeah my t25 was pretty quiet unless i rompped on it. what kind of intake pipe are you using? if it is the stock rubber one you wont hear spool as loud, if you ant to hear spool i recommend getting a piping pro intake pipe or some other intake aluminum pipe.

as far as thread jack i haven seen the op around yet. i even emailed him. so lets hope he comes back and wants my turbo

the M spec is an FMIC isa good intercooler but i doubt you will be able to find one for sale that isnt used, seeing as how they are discontinued.

I wanted one but settled for the LS greddy intercooler. it was like 30 bucks more. i hada turbo xs bov vented to the atmospher and it only had it back fire twice in the whoel time i was driving it, and both of those times was going up a steep hill.

i have yet to test out my new HKS SSQ bov and see if it back fires at all when i drive it.

there is alot of conterversy over this but it works for soem and notfor others. so do it and if you experience problems then recirculate it.

nah, you dont know what 2 step is??? lol, its a secondary rev limiter that allows you to build boost at a stop, its part of my AEM stand alone lol. so your at a light, someone revs at you, and you 2 step the **** outa them lol!!! then there like.... wtf mate... look it up on you tube. its bad to the bone for launching at a drag track. ima set mine to 3800rpms. floor it and your car red lines at 3800rpms at a stop and you just watch the boost go up and up. its the same thing a a BEE*R box.

there a full stand alone ECU, so you replace your ecu with it, AEM EMS sells for the sr20det for around 1700$... but its the best mod for your car.

you can actually have enthalpy program in a 2 step into your tune. Itl be hookd up with your clutch switch so when your clutch is in it will be limited to what ever rpm you told him to set it at.
