Yes they al could pretty much, your fuel pump wire should not be bypassed and the proper wire is black/pink.I have noticed this as a problem with alot of swaps even my own b4.Take out a test light and simply touch it to all of the wires above with the keys out and battery hooked up,if any of them have power then thats where your issue is,these wires should only have power with the key in the on position Not constant 12v.My issue was with how the guide I used said to hook up the white/purple wire....it was wrong after discussing with Carl H and hours at the 2 fsms I wired the car and it works flawlessly now.ka24eracer wrote:No the car was a manual , and both rb20 were manual too. Everything was working fine with the first RB20 .
The only wiring I re-did on the new swap is :the white-purple (dont know??), black-red(ecu)red (ecu too) black with purple stripe(fuel pump) which doesnt come on when I turn the key so I bypassed it...
Any specific wire in those 4 that could be related to the Daytime light and cluster to come on ?? Or better , related to the non-start problem ?
thanks for any help !
man that sucks yo cuz i too have the white/purple wired to the white wire from the fusebox.ka24eracer wrote:I hooked up the white\purple to one of the white wire under the fuse box ...I ll try something else...
I dont think that this would be the reason why i get a constant power to the dash ligt once I turned the key (even if I removed the key)
If someone has a specific wire that they wire to the infamous white\purple , go ahead !!
