I dropped my transmission to find out what was making noise in there... here's what I got out...

i took my flywheel to get machined, and they said it's too worn. Do you guys agree? 20 thou of an inch. I was hoping I could just buy a new clutch disc, machine my flywheel, and re-use the pressure plate... The PP is a Xtreme ACT, and the clutch is/was a 4-pad race ACT.I guess it's time for a new "kit". i'm thinking RPS Max Puck or the same ACT clutch again (i love how it grabbed). i'm putting down about 350-380rwtq right now and maybe a bit more soon.

Anyone think that the flywheel can be machined?

From the looks of it, it's a lot of wear. To be on the safe side, replace it.

Holy crap. What material is the contact surface on the clutch disk made out of? Something ceramic?

DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN.

Your original post is still on the first page and yet you felt so compelled to make the same post again.

Rogoman gave you your answer. Replacement time for your entire assembly back there.
