i was thinking about swapping a vq35de but my friends have convienced me to swap in an sr20det. I already have the block and crankshaft and 4 good connecting rods and 2 transmissions. whats a good shop to get all the other parts like, pistons/rings, water pump, oil pickup, hoses, cams, cam gears, rocker arm stopers, valves and springs?

Ive had good experience from heavythrottle (our sponsor) they ship quick.

also P2M ships pretty quick.

Any of our sponsors (P2M, HT, Enjukur) stocks all SR parts.

Also, most of the parts are interchangeable from FWD SR. Look at the sticky.

hey thanks for the quick and friendly reply! i was expecting to get flaimed but then i forgot this is NICO and not zilvia.net or poser.com ill try to read as much as I can. I'm normaly don't suggest going sr20 but since i got the block and transmission for really freaking cheap (lagit too) i figured it would be cheaper then what i wanna do (rb20/25internals or vq35deZ) Since i already have the block and transmissions.

my friend is on the same boat as you. He got a block for super cheap and trying to piece together a SR...

IMO, its a pain in the *** tho... It might not be much of a savings in the end.

I would just buy a good complete long block and keep your other block for spare parts just incase..

sell the parts and get yourself a complete longblock if you are going to leave the internals stock. If you are going to build it then you are good to go.
